Podcasts in the classroom

Podcasts in the classroom can be a wonderful asset to upcoming teachers. As with all things they have pros and cons. However, due to the uprising in technological advances in both the classroom and other arenas of life, I feel this addition to the learning setting will be an overall asset. It can allow for a connection to be formed between the student and teacher.  As the instructor of a generation growing up in a tech savvy world such as ours it is important that the instructor not seem as if she/he is out of the loop and not in-tune with the growing technological trends. Not only are podcasts and things of the like important to form a closer connection with the students but it’s also a great asset to have as a teacher. These new inventions enable instructors to have the ability to use creative means to teach their students. Such is the case in the following video taken about a revolutionary college lecturer
